Private Charter Jet to the Turkish Riviera

The Turquoise Coast offers the best under-the-radar Mediterranean getaway

TurkeyAt its southwestern tip, the republic of Türkiye fans out into the Aegean Sea in a lineup of small peninsulas pointed at the nearby Grecian islands of Kos and Rhodes. It’s in these sunbaked enclaves that one of Europe’s great new coastal retreats is growing more popular with each summer season.

The Turkish Riviera, also called the Turquoise Coast, is a loose description of the shoreline that stretches roughly from Bodrum to Antalya. Its pristine beaches, opulent resorts, and state-of-the-art marinas attract a jet-setting clientele looking for less overrun alternatives to the French Riviera or the Amalfi Coast.

Global Air Charters regularly flies to Türkiye and our flight coordinators are experts at devising seamless air travel to and from the region. Contact us today to begin making arrangements for your most memorable beach vacation yet.

Choose Your Arrival

Three airports conveniently serve the Turkish Riviera. Milas-Bodrum Airport (LTFE) is the westernmost, ideal for those heading to Bodrum and its surrounding areas. Dalaman Airport (LTBS) serves both Marmaris and Fethiye and is perfectly situated to access the central section of the Turkish Riviera. Antalya Airport (LTAI) is the main gateway for visitors to the eastern end of the Riviera, offering quick access to Antalya’s luxury resorts and historic sites.

The Glamour of Bodrum

If you’re looking for an alternative to the lively hotspots and thumping dance clubs of St. Tropez, the best nightlife on the Turquoise Coast is found in Bodrum. A town that obviously caters to the well-heeled visitor, you’ll see enormous yachts at anchor, luxury brand stores huddled close to the marina, and the shoreline stacked with five-star resorts.

But don’t leave Bodrum without exploring some of its traditional culture. The town has a wonderful arts scene, with plenty of galleries and museums, and the nighttime bazaars offer a glimpse of the Türkiye of yore. Bodrum Castle and the ruins of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus are a must-visit for the history buff.

Relax Like a Pharaoh in Marmaris

It would be impossible to choose, but if you forced us to, the area around Marmaris has the most stunning coastal scenery of anywhere in the region. Visit Marmaris National Park, where you’ll find quiet, unspoilt beaches and take hikes through the gorgeous red pine forest.

There are several smaller islands in the area, and Sedir Island is the most remarkable because the quality of its beach is literally the stuff of legend. It’s long been claimed that the soft, perfectly spherical grains of sand were imported from the Red Sea specifically for Mark Antony and Cleopatra to enjoy on their sojourns together (and contemporary research actually backs up the story!)

Hit the Links in Antalya

The largest city on the Turquoise Coast is Antalya, home to a quaint old town full of cobblestone streets and Ottoman architecture. But it’s quickly becoming known as the gateway to the coastline around Belek, home to an impressive collection of seaside golf resorts.

Golfers love the long playing season, stable temperatures, and predictable (but rare) precipitation of the region. The number of links has exploded in the last two decades. We recommend The Montgomerie Maxx Royal, a fabulous course designed by PGA legend Colin Montgomerie, that’s also home to an equally stunning five-star resort. We also like the Cullinan Links Golf Club for its unique location with holes on both the Besgoz River and the Mediterranean seaside.
