Private Jet to the Ubud, Bali
The tourism capital of Indonesia offers a unique retreat with the right strategy
In the last half-century, the Indonesian island of Bali has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Its stunning beaches draw surfers and snorkelers. Bali’s relative affordability appeals to backpackers and digital nomads. Its natural beauty and tropical location bring honeymooners and large families alike.
Though it has become a tourist hotspot, we still heartily recommend visiting Bali. But having the right game plan makes all the difference.
One of the key strategies is chartering a private jet to the island. Global Air Charters has a wealth of experience chartering to Bali and other locations in Southeast Asia, like Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Our expertise in the region will make your arrival and departure as rejuvenating as your stay.
Here are a few tips to make the most of your stay. Contact us today to reserve your airframe to Bali.
Arriving in Ubud
For travelers arriving in Bali by private jet, Ngurah Rai International Airport (WADD) in Denpasar is the main landing point on the island. Most visitors to Bali never leave the coastal areas of Kuta and Pesanggaran, close to the airport and home to some of the island’s most popular beaches.
This is why we highly recommend the inland town of Ubud, reachable by a 90-minute drive away from the beaches and into the hills. Our flight coordinators can arrange private car transfers and helicopter services to ensure a seamless and luxurious arrival to your serene retreat in Ubud.
The Verdant Hills of Ubud
Located deep in the jungle among terraced rice paddies, the town of Ubud is the spiritual heartbeat of Bali. It’s Indonesia’s great hub of arts and culture. Its galleries and festivals showcase the traditions, religion, and history of the island.
The dry season in Ubud lasts from April to October. The weather in summer is ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the town, though July and August are the peak times for tourists. We recommend September and October to get the best weather with fewer crowds.
Relax and Recharge
Ubud has a reputation as a center of physical and spiritual wellness. The town was first established centuries ago as the site of a prominent Hindu temple and the area has since become known for its expertise in medicinal plants. Today, yoga retreats and wellness centers are major attractions for visitors to Ubud.
If bodily rejuvenation is your aim, we recommend the COMO Shambhala Estate for its secluded jungle setting, pristine appointments, and personalized wellness regimens.
Five-Star Stays
There’s hardly an equal to the pleasure of floating in an infinity pool at the edge of the forest at the Four Seasons Resort at Sayan. This resort offers dramatic views of the Ayung River valley and exquisite dining options that acquaint visitors with the soul of Balinese culture.
You can also book private villas at the Tanah Gajah, an elegant retreat fashioned from the estate of a major Indonesian art collector. There you can gaze out over the rice fields by day and take in traditional dance performances by night.
Day Trips in Ubud
Ubud is renowned for its traditional crafts and dancing, attracting artists and creatives from around the world. Beyond the most popular galleries you’ll find in the center of town, we recommend a few signature experiences.
Shop for traditional handicrafts at the Ubud Art Market, then take in traditional Balinese architecture at the nearby Ubud Palace. Get up close with local fauna at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, home to over 1,200 long-tailed macaques. For the best vistas of the area, trek the Campuhan Ridge Walk at sunrise.
