Dodgers Dominance

They’ve added two powerhouse starting pitchers, Roki Sasaki and Blake Snell, along with the premier reliever on the market, Tanner Scott. If Shohei Ohtani continues his brilliance, the Dodgers look unbeatable heading into 2025.
The Dodgers play at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona, mere minutes from Glendale Municipal Airport (KGEU). Don’t miss the Sonoran hot dogs at El Caprichoso while you’re in Glendale. The restaurant is close to American Family Fields of Phoenix, the spring home of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Mets Are All In
After losing to the Dodgers in last year’s NLCS, the New York Mets made a huge bid to keep up their momentum. They signed slugger, Juan Soto, for 15 years/$765 million this off-season. There’s massive pressure riding on him to get the Mets over the hump in the National League.
See the Mets play at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida. We recommend arriving at Treasure Coast International Airport (KFPR), about 20 minutes north of the park, in Ft. Pierce.
The Yankees’ Revenge Tour
They may have lost Juan Soto to their crosstown rivals, but the Yankees haven’t thrown in the towel. Their offseason acquisitions include some big names: Max Fried, Devin Williams, Cody Bellinger, and Paul Goldschmidt.
See their 2025 campaign begin at George M. Steinbrenner Field, which is across the street from Tampa International Airport (KTPA). After the game, head into Tampa Heights for Michelin-starred pasta at Rocca. Chef Bryce Bonsack is a former New Yorker, and his Italian wine list is extensive.
Spring Training Superlatives
BEST BALLPARK? That’d be Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Arizona. 85% of its seats are in the shade and the facilities are immaculate. See the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies play there and pick up prosciutto sandwiches at the nearby Andreoli Italian Grocer.
BEST EATS BY THE AIRPORT? Try Little Miss BBQ if you arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor International (KPHX). They specialize in Texas-style smoked beef and their pastrami is next-level.
BEST BASEBALL-ADJACENT FESTIVAL? The Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona (February 21–22). This Spring Training kickoff party features Fall Out Boy, Incubus, The Black Keys, The Killers, Beck, and many more artists on three stages. There will also be baseball activities, podcast recordings, and appearances by MLB legends. The Extra Innings Festival, featuring Kacey Musgraves and The Lumineers, is the following weekend.
BEST OTHER SPORTS TO SEE? The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (February 28–March 2) is the opening race of the 2025 IndyCar Series. The race takes place on a temporary street course with multiple sight lines for spectators.
