A&P Mechanic
Job Summary
To perform licensed A&P Mechanic work on single and multi-engine piston and turbine for a Part 145 repair station primarily specializing in Part 91 aircraft.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, modifications, and other maintenance of aircraft, components, and related equipment that complies with 14 CFR, manufacturer specifications, company policy, and procedures, as well as other methods accepted by the FAA when accomplishing maintenance.
- Performs assembly, disassembly, and repairs required in the completion of airframe overhaul, repair or modifications, including but not limited to removal, replacement and repair of parts of engines, airframes and systems.
- Will accomplish sheet metal fabrication and repairs by safely laying out, fabricating, and installing parts, equipment, and fabricated items on aircraft following established operating procedures.
- Safely operate shop equipment such as: brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions.
- Removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, modification, refurbishment, and installation of aircraft interior and its associated components (seats, carpets, interior paneling, windows, headliner, insulation, and soundproofing systems).
- Reads and interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other related documentation to determine the feasibility and method of altering or repairing the aircraft and its associated components, determining the airworthiness of the aircraft and its associated components, and replacement for malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including hydraulic system servicing, engine oil replenishment, aircraft systems lubrication, aircraft fueling, etc.
- All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards, and completed work should meet customer expectations.
- All work and duties assigned will be accomplished safely, effectively, efficiently, and with integrity.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Education
- A&P License is required
- IA is preferred
Experience
Experience on some of the following is preferred: Cessna 100/200/300/400 series, Piper PA23/24/28/30/31/32/34/39/44/60 series, Beech 19/23/33/35/36/55/56/58/77 series, Rockwell 112/114 series and MU-2B series.
Job Functions
- Review and understand all necessary documentation (i.e. workscope, inspection items, drawings, ADs, ICAs), to perform task(s).
- Ability to use a tablet and fully electronic work order, inventory, timeclock program.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and with care and precision are essential.
- Ability to understand and follow directions with general supervision.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
