The first American Grand Prix of the F1 season showcases Miami at its best
Racing fans in the States have been eagerly watching the start of this exciting Formula 1 season. In a few short weeks, the action arrives on our shores.

Arrival Options
One of the best parts of private jet travel is being selective about your schedule and arrival. Our flight coordinators will help you choose the destination that’s right for your plans on the timetable that works best for you.
Miami is home to several executive airfields that cater to private jet traffic. Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (KOPF) is near the racetrack and an excellent choice if you stay downtown. If you vacation in the suburbs or up the coast, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE) might be a better option.
Miami Grand Prix
The Miami International Autodrome is a temporary circuit built on the grounds of the Hard Rock Stadium complex. The course features three high-speed straights, three DRS detection zones, tight corners, and the gorgeous city as a backdrop.
Fans can catch the action from one of 11 grandstands on the course. There are also several luxury viewing options fans can choose from that offer plush seating, the best sightlines, premium food and drink options, pit access, and more.
Perhaps more than any other grand prix on the F1 calendar, the Miami Grand Prix has become a highlight on the city’s social scene. Steve Aoki, Ed Sheeran, and more performers will take to the Hard Rock Beach Club stage — those are the tickets you want if you’re going more for the party than the racing.
The Hottest Hotspots
Miami is a magical city for dining. You can take a food tour of Miami and hit all the highlights — seafood, Cuban sandwiches, plantains, and mojitos — it’s hard to go wrong in this town.
If you want to dine on the cutting edge of the local scene, there are a few places making waves recently. Ghee Indian Kitchen is being lauded as one of the best Indian restaurants in the country, with several Michelin Bib Gourmands and James Beard nominations to their credit.
Macchialina is our recommendation for wine lovers. This spot for seasonal, rustic Italian cuisine is known for handmade pasta but should be better known for its deep selection of estate-bottled Italian wines.
We have two bar recommendations that couldn’t be more different but showcase the best of Miami’s cocktail culture. Head to Cafe La Trova in the heart of Little Havana for classic Miami drinks like mojitos and daiquiris. Then pop over to ViceVersa in the Elser Hotel downtown for an Italian aperitivo. Their pizzas and raw bar are top-notch too!
Events in Miami
While you’re in Miami for the grand prix, there’s lots to experience in other parts of the city. On May 3, Miami’s Water Lantern Festival will light up the night at Tropical Park. Come for the food trucks, music, and watch the lanterns take to the water at sunset.
There are even more sports happening on F1 weekend. In Major League Baseball, the Oakland Athletics will visit Miami for a three-game series against the Marlins from May 2 to 4. In Major League Soccer, Lionel Messi and the renowned Inter Miami will face off against the New York Red Bulls at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on May 3.
