The cutting edge of marine innovation is on display in Dubai Harbor in February
The Middle East’s largest expo for luxury yachting and the yachting lifestyle takes place February 19–23 in the heart of Dubai. The Dubai International Boat Show is the Emirates’ premier marina life showcase and an excellent reason to visit the UAE in the off season.
Global Air Charters has years of experience with luxury charters to the Middle East. We’ve touched down recently in Abu Dhabi for the HSBC Championship and the Formula One Grand Prix.

A Grand Showcase
The Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) takes place in Dubai Harbor, next to the famous Palm Jumeirah. This attractive seafront district has grown to be one of the world’s great hubs of maritime tourism.
Every facet of marina living will be on display at DIBS. You’ll see superyachts, regular yachts, clothing and outfitting, and a special showcase of underwater gadgetry for certified divers. You’ll have the rare opportunity to interface directly with yacht builders, designers, and industry experts. The advice you need to customize your next yacht will be at DIBS.
As you purchase tickets for the event, pay close attention to the VIP experiences. Relax in lounges offering upscale seating and a curated menu of gourmet food and drinks. Don’t miss Supercar Avenue, where you can see the latest in ultra-rare automotives, or the daily watersports exhibitions.
Five-Star Stays
There may be no city more jam-packed with five-star hotels, so you can hardly go wrong with lodging in Dubai. If it’s your first time in the city, don’t miss this chance to stay at its most iconic hotel. The Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, with its sail-like facade rising from the sea, is the epitome of Emirati opulence. Exquisitely appointed rooms, sweeping views of the beachfront, and the Michelin-starred Al Muntaha restaurant on the top floor.
For a more serene retreat, we recommend The Biltmore Hotel Villas. Just a ten-minute drive to the The Dubai Harbor, these secluded three-to-five bedroom suites have private butler service and top amenities in each villa. They’re also a shopper’s delight, just steps from the Mall of the Emirates and the retail Esplanade district.
Extravagant Eats
After a day of touring the finest vessels on the water, you’ll want an equally impressive dinner. STAY by Yannick Alléno is Dubai’s restaurant of the moment. It’s housed in a tall-ceilinged, colonial-style building at the end of the Palm Jumeirah, with lush gardens and a private dock. The elevated French cuisine is opulent without being overwhelming and the service is world-class.
For a quick lunch near the harbor, you can’t miss the Levantine home-style classics at Bait Maryam. The chef’s Middle Eastern comforts include hummus, fattoush, kibbeh, and much more, served in a bright and tranquil dining room.
Dubai To-Do
The Dubai Polo Gold Cup takes place February 5–22, 2025. You can even stay at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort, a gloriously appointed Andalusian masterpiece on the polo grounds. Step out onto your terra cotta patio overlooking the emerald lawns and be ready for the action.
The Taste of Dubai is coming to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on February 14–16, 2025. Sample bites from Dubai’s top restaurants and learn new cooking techniques from the master chefs who create them.
Cycling fans won’t want to miss the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge. This qualifying event for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships ride on Sunday, February 23, 2025. See the world’s top cyclists cut a path through Dubai’s traffic-free streets, culminating in a party at the Al Forsan Park in Expo City.
