MLB Spring Training in Arizona
Every March, hope springs eternal and baseball fans head south to see their teams warm up for the year. We prefer the Cactus League in Phoenix to the Grapefruit League in Florida. All the stadiums are closer together, which makes a day-night doubleheader easier to come by. There are also several suburban airports that are convenient to the ballfields.
While you’re in Phoenix with the family, don’t miss the Arizona Zoo, Arizona Science Center, and Golfland Sunsplash waterpark in Mesa. Or take a horseback ride through the Sonoran Desert — Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is a welcoming spot for beginners and kids (7 and up).
Turks and Caicos
Providenciales Island is ideal for families. Grace Bay Beach is one of the best in the world — you can even rent a rescue dog to take out on a walk. It’s a perfect place for beginners to go snorkeling. The island is protected by a miles-long barrier reef, making the waters calm and the wildlife plentiful.
